The first stage of the research, as a stage to strengthen fundamental technology, covers molecular physiological, molecular biological, microbial and cellular immunological research on the salivation mechanism including cell membrane transport and saliva protein’s interaction and antibacterial function, the characteristic of oral sensory neurotabes including special senses, such as taste and smell, and somethesis, and the healthy person’s differential immune response to oral commensal and periodontopathic bacteria.
