The Tooth Bioengineering Lab, designated as a National Research Laboratory by the National Research Foundation of Korea, has been led by Prof. Pill-Hoon Choung for research on tooth form and shaping using organ culture based on formative principle and research on dentode using bio tooth stem cells.

This laboratory conducts various types of research, ranging from the molecular level to the neuron-, synapse-, individual level, to study at the molecular and cellular level on gene action contributing to the occurrence, movement, control of, and overreacting to, pain in the diverse parts of the nerve tract. Based on this, it develops pain mechanism specific pain killer and pain management technology.
