Bone Metabolism Research Center

Bone Metabolism Research Center, designated as a Science Research Center by the National Research Foundation of Korea, embarked upon a project in September 2008, aiming at comprehending the bone metabolism adjustment network and developing advanced source technology for bone disease. It has been led by Prof. Hong-Hee Kim and consists of 60 research staff.

Through research on bone component cell network and research on bone metabolism adjustment mechanism and its adjustment, it will comprehend the osseous tissue adjustment by studying on the characteristic of osseous tissue component cell, the mechanism of cell differentiation and activation, and the bone component cell and bone metabolism adjustment network, and will suggest a new therapy for bone disease based on the research.
