Current Research Interests

1. 최근 줄기세포를 이용한 세포치료법이 난치병 치료에 대한 새로운 미래의학으로 대두되고 있습니다. 그러나 성공적인 세포치료법 개발에 필수적인 줄기세포에서 특정세포로의 분화에 대한 연구는 아직 미흡한 실정입니다.

본 연구실의 연구목표는 신경성장인자 등 신호전달물질이나 분화관련 유전자를 도입하는 방법 등을 이용하여 신경세포 분화를 조절하는 신호전달 체계를 분석하고, 줄기세포의 신경세포로의 분화유도와 최적의 분화조건을 확립하는 것입니다. 더 나아가 줄기세포에서 분화된 신경세포를 다량으로 확보하고, 퇴행성 뇌질환 동물모델에 이식하여 신경재생 효과를 연구하고자 합니다. 

2. 신경성장인자 수용체에 의한 신호전달체계에서 기존에 알려진 인자들 간의 상호 작용뿐만 아니라, 새로운 상호작용과 신호전달과정에서의 역할을 규명하여 신경성장인자가 신경재생에 관여하는 기작을 구체적으로 밝히고자 합니다.
