Current Research Interests

구강악안면 영역에 발생하는 종양의 병리생태학적 기전과 원인을 규명하고， 수술이나 약물치료기법을 개발하며， 분자생물학적， 유전학적 신치료기술의 개발을 진행한다. 예후가 좋지 않은 구강악안면 영역의 악성종양의 외과적 치료와 천연물 혹은 신약제제의 투여를 통한 예후증진， 장기적 생존률에 관한 연구를 진행한다.


1. 한국 천연물 추출물을 이용한 항암제 개발
   - 콩 추출물 (Genistein) 의 투여를 통한 구강암 억제제 개발
   - 동충하초 추출물 (Cordycepin)의 항신생혈관화 작용의 검증
   - 녹차 추출물 (Catechin)의 암예방 효과의 검증

2. 한국인 구강암의 대단위적 역학연구
   - 한국인에 호발하는 구강암의 후향적 연구
   - Survivin 및 임파절 전이를 이용한 구강암 예후인자의 개발
   - 미세전이의 조기검진 및 예후와의 관계 규명

3. 구강내 전암병소의 조기 차단 및 검사법 연구
   - 한국인에 호발하는 구강편평태선의 대단위적 역학 연구
   - 백반증， 홍반증의 chemiluminescent techinology를 이용한 확산 범위 검색

4. Matrix metalloproteinase의 구강암에서의 관련성 연구
   - 구강암에서의 MMP family의 발현 및 MT1-MMP의 구강암 전이 기전 규명
