Goals of education
The purpose of this major is to overcome the limitations of current technology including oral and maxillofacial regenerative treatments in clinical dental areas through convergence research and education of advanced basic life science including molecular biology, stem cell biology, new material science and pharmacy.
The ultimate goals of this major are to establish the foundation of diagnosis of treatments and prevention with new concepts through molecular biological techniques, advanced life science, education of clinical and basic research, and research convergence, and clinically apply them by teaching students in the next generation. Thus, through this major, we expect academic performance developing the treatment technology with a new concept through convergence study and education between basic and clinical research on the basis of basic understanding of biological phenomena as well as educational performance training academic next generation on the basis of convergence education of regeneration of teeth.

- Understanding of regeneration therapy and translational research situation by using postnatal stem cells
- Development process and research methodology of artificial teeth and alveolar bone
- Basic principles and applied research of a drug delivery system for enhancing the effects of regeneration of teeth
- Understanding of regeneration effects through manipulation of growth factors and genes for regeneration of teeth
- Study on basic properties of biomedical materials, manufacturing principles and new materials for regeneration of teeth
- Basic principle of tissue engineering and clinical application of teeth and alveolar bone regenerated through tissue engineering
